Principal of Greenwood Capital, joined the firm(1) in September, 1998. Mr. Nix serves as a Chief Operating Officer for Greenwood Capital. In addition to these responsibilities, he serves as a portfolio manager and stock analyst. Mr. Nix received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate in 2002 and previously obtained his Series 7, Series 63 and Series 24 Securities Licenses. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nix served as a Trust Officer with First Union National Bank and Investment Officer with CCF Holding Company of Jonesboro, Georgia.

On or about June 29, 2001, Greenwood Capital Associates, LLC acquired substantially all the assets of GCAI, a sub-chapter S corporation. Greenwood Capital Associates, LLC registration dates back from 2001.
