President of Greenwood Capital and a Principal, joined the firm(1) in June, 1985. In addition to his responsibilities as President, Mr. Bell also oversees client service and serves as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Greenwood Capital, he was employed by Bankers Trust of South Carolina as a Commercial Loan Officer and as an Assistant Vice President in the Financial Services Division. Mr. Bell is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Graduate School of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Wofford College (BA). Since 1996, Mr. Bell has been on the Board of Trustees for the College of Charleston and currently serves in the capacity of Secretary of the Board.
